walking in the neighbourhood of the El Teide (3715 m) at Tenerife of the Canary islands, the highest mountain of Spain, is walking to be in a moon landscape. You can als go to the top of the El Teide, but you have reserve that before. The mountain is a vulcano and more or less dead.

Die Wasserkuppe ist der höchste Berg (950 m) in Hessen, Rhön. Man kann dort wandern, Radfahren, Schweben, Sport fliegen, Schirm fliegen usw.

To travel from or to El Hierro (Canary Islands) you have to go by ship or plane from Tenerife or Grand Canaria. Binter is the company who flies to the island. From Tenerife in about 40 minutes. The plane they use is an ATR72-600S.

Lanzarote is one of the Canary island with many old vulcanos and lava fields. Last eruptions about 200 years ago. Fine beaches, cycling, hiking. Less green, but very beautiful.

I did this back in the 90’s. Unforgettable beauty and curious pine martens popping up on either side. Beautiful wild flowers line the route too. ❤

I think the 'eagle' at 5 mins 02 is in fact a Griffon Vulture. These are quite common on both the French and Spanish sides of the Pyrenees. Much broader wings than an eagle. Much longer wingspan than a eagle. Note the short wedge shaped tail. Cream coloured back of wings. Definitely a Griffon Vulture.
Uber holiday memories come flooding back 35 years on. Wonderful.
Wow, I didn't know anything about this railway, but goodness me, there are some huge sheer drops along the route! The scenery looks stunning and this is an excellent piece of filming.
It was a very interesting railway, if you are in the neigbourhood make a trip...if the weather is fine

Thank you for posting your video I went to the Pyrenees an entire month for hiking and it was 20 years ago with my dad we had great vacation and this reminds me of good times thanks a lot
